"The inspiration behind my bookwork is my fascination with aeroplanes and all things flying. I have a great wish to revisit/relive the pioneering age of aviation, exploring the people, places and passion behind the inventions.

The idea was to make the book look like a photo album, left in an attic for almost a century. To then be picked up, read and enjoyed. The images are over-exposed with great contrasts to mimic the photo quality of the age" (Olvind Hovland, 2008)
