Peace!
We like to quote one of the pioneer mail artists Robert Rehfeldt: "Your idea helps my idea, our ideas help the ideas of others", because we think that both cooperation and dialogue can generate something new and beautiful.

Open to all.

This mail art project invites you to find alternative ways to use a postcard.

Please follow the following rules for this project:
Size: rectangular card of 10x15 cm on the longest side
Media: The Mail Art postcard must be created with one or more photographs in any way that you like.

On the back please write a short text: a thought, a message, a poem...

The postcard must have a signature, and if possible also your name, so that we can create a list of the participating artists.

The postcard must also contain the written date. Choice of subject is free.

There will be no selection procedure. Participation is free, but the artist takes the responsibility that the Mail Art postcard will be correctly sent through the postal service of his/her own country.
It is possible to send more than one Mail Art postcard or to create a series reassembled from a single work. Please inform us if you intend to do so!

All works will be published on the website www.officinadelleimmagini.net. This will increase the value of the project and will contribute to the final show of all the received postcards, which will be organized in an exhibition space.
Deadline: 25 - 05 - 2010

Please send your Mail Art postcard(s) to: Officina delle Immagini, Casella Postale 6133, 00195 Roma, Italy

Title: Items of clothing evoke moods and memories

Items of everyday clothing are linked to events in our lives. We each have an item of clothing that reminds us of something. It may be a memory of a desire or a dream, or of the joys and sorrows of life. Our clothing becomes part of us.

From 26 to 28 June 2009, an important art exhibition will take place on a farm that used to be owned by the Mafia but now belongs to the Libera Association : names and numbers against mafias.

With the items of clothing that we receive we will create an installation as a collective work to represent the work of Libera.

What kind of animal would you be?

Sometimes you see a person and you think: " He behaves like a tiger". Sometimes you see a body or face that reminds you of a mouse. Sometimes you think: I really want to be a cat.

I'm curious: What animal would you be?
Are you a bird with glasses, a giraffe with a short neck, a gecko with a beard or maybe a combination?

Help with Mail Art in Schools wanted

I am currently working as an art teacher in a school for children with special needs and I am going to write about Mail Art and the possibility of introducing Mail Art in schools, with the explicit intention of experiencing it, and by doing this learning from it about freedom, democracy, communication etc.
The work I will write is not intended to be commercialized, the only purpose is educational.
Therefore I need documentary materials about Mail Art of any kind, such as books, zines or anything alike.
Maybe you or someone you know can help me with that; I will pay for books if necessary.

Best wishes, Flora Raducan
Deadline: none mentioned, but received by zybooks in March 2009

MAILART-ACTION
POSTFACH 44 04 31

Germany
http://www.mailartkasten.wordpress.com

I live in Berlin-Neukölln. This part of town appears in the daily media as being an evil place: The evil term "no go area" is generally being used to describe the whole situation from the self-affirming outer view. Even though it seems to be a ghetto, I feel right at home. Leaving my house and walking in the streets of my neighbourhood feels for me to be just the right place to go: a no-no-go-area. Please send me your mail artwork on the subject: "Ghetto kids"

Deadline: 15.06.09

Please send to: MAILART-ACTION, Postfach 44 04 31, 12004 Berlin, Germany.

All works must be sent by post with postage stamps. All works will be part of my diploma project and will be in an exhibition at the art college. I am looking forward to receive your posted work! Please sign your work with your name and address. Any questions please email: mail-art@gmx.de
